Michael Douglas is to undergo radiation and chemotherapy after doctors found a tumour in his throat.

He will have eight weeks of treatment and is expected to make a full recovery, a spokesman for the Oscar-winning actor said.
In a statement Douglas, 65, said: "I am very optimistic."

The actor, who has reportedly smoked in the past, is married to Welsh actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, 40, and they celebrated their 10th anniversary earlier this year.
The discovery of a tumour was the latest blow in a tough year for the Wall Street star.
In April he attended court in New York to see Cameron Douglas, 31, his son from a previous marriage, jailed for five years for drug offences.
Douglas made an impassioned plea to the judge on behalf of his son.
Speaking in June he said: "I've had a rough year on the personal front."
He is now said to be spending as much time as possible with his wife and their two children Dylan, 10 and Carys, seven.
"My priorities have completely changed," he said recently. "My marriage and my family come certainly before my career. I cherish the time with them."
Douglas, the son of Hollywood star Kirk Douglas, has appeared in numerous movies films but but perhaps his most famous role was as Gordon Gekko, the corporate raider in the 1987 movie Wall Street.
